The Hut vineyards were planted in 1990 and 1999 on the Moonambel valley floor, 4 kms from the Dalwhinnie vineyard (we call it our Forest Hut vineyard). All the vineyards are owned and managed by Dalwhinnie and are set up to produce exceptional grapes using 100% estate grown fruit. The climate is 3-4 degrees cooler than Dalwhinnie all year round. The grapes are harvested approximately 3 weeks later than Dalwhinnie. 2010 was a vintage year 9/10.

Straw/green, shiny, clear and bright.

Lifted stone fruit with hints of lime and pineapple.

Tight and fresh, medium weight, very elegant. Lovely texture and balance. On the finish, the stone fruits are carried by subtle acid.

Winemaker's Comment:
A blinder of a wine. Half a dozen Coffin Bay oysters will do the trick.
