The Eagle vineyard was established in 1977, shiraz clone PT23. The unique aspect of this elevated site coupled with meticulous hand picking and hand pruning produces the most distinguished grapes on the property. Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques.

Colour: Dark brick-red, shiny and clear.

Bouquet: Stewed plums in cinnamon, autumn forest floor perfume with charcuterie notes and with a hint of liquorice.

Palate: Juicy and rich with good acidity. There is savouriness and freshness and a full textured palate. The finish is very long and fine.

Winemaker’s comments: This is the 9th Eagle to be released and the most elegant we’ve made so far. A feminine expression of the best vineyard grapes from Dalwhinnie.

Cellaring Potential: 10+ years
