Our 34th vintage release. Very dark red-black. The nose is beautiful, showing cedar pencil shavings, violets and dark chocolate. On the palate there is both sweet and sour with the luscious black berry fruit and the acid balancing the ripe and fine grainy tannins. A very masculine cabernet, beautifully structured and integrated with the specially chosen Taraunsaud oak from Bordeaux. It speaks of the Dalwhinnie land. Definitely a wine for the cellar. Drink 2017 – 2030.
"Exceptionally dense crimson-purple showing through on the rim; blackcurrant/cassis fruit is perfectly matched with and by ripe, persistent tannins and quality oak. Will surely be one of the great Dalwhinnie Cabernets as it slowly matures over the next 20+ years. To 2043".
