Our 6th vintage release. The colour of this single vineyard Shiraz is an exceptionally dark red-black. The extraordinary perfume is of freshly picked raspberries combined with cola, allspice and a hint of mandarin peel. On the palate there is an initial sweet-sour attack, then the wine tightens up forming a long juicy and fresh savoury finish. Medium weighted this very complex and ‘feminine’ wine is made using 33% whole bunches in small open fermenters and maturation time is 17 months. The ‘Concongella’ clone of Shiraz is highlighted in all its glory. Drink 2015 – 2025.

"From the estate vineyard planted in '95, explosives necessarily used to shatter the reef outcrop and thus allow planting to take place. Bright, full crimson-purple, it is a wine of elegance and purity, blackberry and dark cherry fruits graced by tannins so fine they are positively mouthwatering."
