The Hut vineyards were planted in 1990 and 1999 on the Moonambel valley floor, 4 kms from the Dalwhinnie vineyard (we call it our Forest Hut vineyard). All the vineyards are owned and managed by Dalwhinnie and are set up to produce exceptional grapes using 100% estate grown fruit. The climate is 3-4 degrees cooler than Dalwhinnie all year round. The grapes are harvested approximately 3 weeks later than Dalwhinnie. 2010 was a vintage year 10/10.

Colour:
Amazing purple black with a silver sheen

Bouquet:
Freshly ground black pepper, rosemary, bay leaf, and dark plum with a hint of cinnamon.

Palate:
Big rich wine, savoury and textured with a massive tannin structure. The wine finishes with a very long complex finish.
